New Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate gets free Sonic & Mario DLC

It's the first Friday of April, which means more free Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate DLC. Last month we got a slew of extra missions, new armor, and easily the biggest highlight, gear from The Legend of Zelda.

Today, we also get a slew of extra missions with difficult monsters to fight, as well as extra items to finally outfit your second Palico with either Mario or Luigi gear, depending on which one you haven't crafted yet. The other highlight though is a special mission, which will reward you with Sonic the Hedgehog gear for your Palico. Awesome!

If you're a current player of Monster Hunter, you can look forward to more free DLC packs coming on the first Friday of every month. We still didn't get the Metroid armor or weapons, so there's a good chance that might be the next DLC pack for May. We'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, check the trailer above to see all the cool stuff you get completely FREE in today's update.
