This is a great time to be a Star Wars fan. Earlier today, the world got its first look at Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, and there was plenty to dissect from it. Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is expected to get its first worldwide reveal tomorrow as well, and some new imagery of an imperial soldier (or pilot) comes with an all new symbol that we haven't seen before. EA followed it up with a Tweet that seems to point to a flame type unit accompanying the logo.
Here is that tweet:
If the unit pictured above is a Flame Trooper, then we might be getting a look at an all-new design for the Inferno Squad, which made its debut in Rogue One. If you don't remember the Inferno Squad trooper, they look like this.
Coincidentally (or perhaps not), there is also an Inferno Squad novel that is due to come out this summer in July, but its cover has yet to be revealed. It could be that the cover reveal is waiting on Star Wars: Battlefront 2 to confirm who/what the logo belongs to if it is indeed the Inferno Squad.
All we know for sure is that the logo belongs to the bad guys, and all will be revealed tomorrow.
