New NBA Live could be shown at Xbox reveal, tweet suggests

Earlier this month, EA promised investors that NBA Live would makes its return on next-generation consoles. I don't think anyone realized just how soon its return would take place.

EA Sports' official NBA twitter yesterday teased a "Countdown to tip-off. #NBALIVE."

The tweet suggests that NBA Live could be a part of today's Xbox reveal, though there's absolutely no further proof backing that claim. However, given that EA is expected to show off FIFA 14 on the new Xbox, it wouldn't come as too much of a surprise to see them bring their reborn NBA franchise along for the ride.

Now before you get too excited, I warn you we've been down this road before. Need I remind you that we saw NBA Live 13 before it was canceled in September 2012? Or how about NBA Elite 11, two years earlier, before that too was canceled. My point is, don't get your hopes up.

But you can get excited for the new Xbox reveal! Just 30 minutes!!!
