Entertainment Weekly has unveiled one of the first official images from the upcoming 'Kong: Skull Island'.
It was recently announced that the latest reboot to King Kong would feature a Kong bigger than any previous incarnation. The news came following the announcement of the upcoming Godzilla vs King Kong project slated to be the crossover for both the newest version of Godzilla from the 2014 reboot starring Bryan Cranston, and the new 'Kong: Skull Island'. The idea of a battle between the two epic movie monsters left many wondering how it would even be possible considering the newest Godzilla is a towering animal, far taller than any skyscraper, while the most recent version of Kong, while the biggest we've seen, would still be dwarfed by the massive reptile.
On the heels of San Diego Comic Con this year, Entertainment Weekly has revealed a new image from the movie that depicts Tom Hiddleston and some of his comrades stumbling upon the larger than life remains of an obvious gorilla creature. The scale of the skull gives us a better understanding of how big the movie Kong might be, but we'll likely get a better look at the beast when the first trailer drops at Comic Con this month.
The movie stars Tom Hiddleston, John C. Riley, Brie Larson, Toby Kebbell, Samuel L. Jackson, and John Goodman.
Kong: Skull Island releases March 10, 2017!
