New Pharrell video is an Otaku’s paradise

A few days ago, Nintendo put out a new marketing site for the New Nintendo 3DS that had me hypnotized, thanks to its colorful visualization of popular Nintendo characters, and the catchy song that kept on looping in the background. Well, today it's Pharrell Williams. Yeah, the same one that infected our brains with the incredibly catchy 'Happy' song. His new video for 'It Girl' is pretty much an Otaku's dream come true. Cute anime girls of every variety, 8-bit to 16-bit segments with parts that actually play out like a video game, and so much color it looks like a unicorn puked out a rainbow. Oh yeah, I can't stop watching it.

The video was put together with Takashi Murakami, who has previously worked with Pharrell on a video for Hatsune Miku, and even before that worked with Pharrell on a sculpture for Art Basel in 2009.

If you enjoy colorful anime girls prancing around in bathing suits and occasionally flying around in a spaceship, shooting at things, give this video a look.
