New Pokemon Sun and Moon distribution event coming to GameStop

Pokemon Sun and Moon players are by now; no doubt used to keeping their eyes and ears out for new event Pokemon. Right now there are multiple downloadables that players can get their hands on, and GameStop will soon be jumping into the action with an event of their own. If you stop by any participating GameStop from August 14th through September 4th, you can pick up a card with a download code for a "Battle-Ready" Salazzle.

The news was first reported by Serebii, who posted an image of the card on Twitter. Here's the tweet:

Salazzle comes packing at Level 50, holding a Focus Sash with a move set to be reckoned with. Here are the moves:

  • Fake Out
  • Toxic
  • Sludge Bomb
  • Flamethrower

Salazzle is the evolved form of a female Salandit, who are much tougher to find in the wild than Males. To download Salazzle, head over to the Mystery Gift tab in the game's Main Menu, and select Receive Gift via Code. Once the download is complete, just head over to a Pokemon Center and talk to the delivery man (he's the dude wearing bright orange, you can't miss him). Make sure to save your game after you get Salazzle!

Pokemon is getting two more games this Fall with Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon which launch on 3DS on November 17th. Next month, Pokemon Gold and Silver will (finally) land on the Nintendo eShop and are also playable on Nintendo 3DS.
