How do you get a bunch of nostalgic Power Rangers fans excited about the new movie? Show the new teenagers with attitude sitting on their Zords.
These close-ups focusing on the Rangers just tease at the design of the Zords themselves, but it's enough to get all these fans hyped. There are posters for each Ranger with a small look at each of their Zords. The new art style gives a fresh look to the Zords instead of looking like toys or men in foam suits (which there's nothing wrong with!). Each poster has the words "Go Go" in reference to the theme song of the original series "Go Go Power Rangers" along with the hashtag #PowerRangersMovie
In July we got a close-up look at the Power Ranger's new alienesque costumes where the helmets look mostly the same (albeit updated) as the originals but the costumes seem even more like Mass Effect-like spacesuits.
Last month, we got a look at Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, who looks quite different from her original look, but impressive nonetheless. Her back story of being trapped for a long 10,000 years seems to be intact, however.
We also found out that the while some of the cast from the old series may have enjoyed it, they probably won't make any cameos in the new movie, which seems like a strange move in the days of movie cameos.
Our very own Mike Boccher will be at the New York Comicon panel for the Power Rangers movie on November 8 at 2 pm to see the first footage of the film.
