This definitely is shaping up to be one of those "Not your average Power Rangers" movies and a new photo is setting up this theory perfectly.
Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we see Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks) in a fight scene with Trini (Becky G). Apparently, Rita isn't just hiding up in her space fort anymore, and is visiting each Ranger one by one. In a psychological attempt to defeat Trini by making her feel inadequate as the youngest ranger, Rita's mind games end in her pinning Trini up against a wall and cracking the sheet rock. It's a much more hands on approach to Rita, and certainly much different than "MAGIC WAND, MAKE MY MONSTER….GROWWWWW" that we got from the original TV series.
From what we've seen so far, this instalment of the Power Rangers is nothing like what I'm sure it's built up in my head to be, and it has me that much more excited for it. What do you guys think? Let us know below. Â Power Rangers hits theaters March 24th, 2017
