New project coming from developers of Dead Rising 2

We've got a bit of a soft spot in our hearts for Chuck Greene, star of Capcom's Dead Rising 2. After all he was just a family man looking to take care of his infected daughter, though Capcom seems to have blamed his lack of experience in covering wars for the game's mediocre sales, brining back Dead Rising main character Frank West for Off the Record.

Well, it seems like Chuck's luck continues to sour, as Capcom Vancouver (formerly Blue Castle Games) is now collecting team members for help in building a brand new IP, making it unlikely that we'll be seeing Chuck in a new Dead Rising title.

What this means for the future of the Dead Rising franchise is unknown, though it's possible that a different Capcom studio will take charge of the zombie-smashing title. Meanwhile we'll be looking forward to seeing what Capcom Vancouver cooks up. DR2 was definitely a competent title, and showed a lot of promise. Here's hoping to more good stuff from the Vancouver team!

(Maybe they'll make a Mega Man gameā€¦)
