With a cornucopia of titles on its way to Nintendo's Wii U console, such as the announcement of Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Ubisoft and Nintendo made sure to remind us of something we yearn for — more Rayman Legends. In a press release today, Ubisoft is bringing Rayman Legends online for the first time with a new demo. That demo includes the full online challenge mode; online challenge mode is made up of four levels, with one of those levels — "Murfy's Dungeon" — being exclusive to the Wii U. Online challenge mode will have new challenges added daily and weekly, and each one comes with its own leaderboards.
Rayman Legends was originally supposed to launch in February exclusively on the Wii U. Then came the announcement that it would also be released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. That wouldn't have been so bad if it didn't delay the Wii U version to September 2013 so that all three versions can launch together.
The Rayman Legends demo will be available in late April. The game will release on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U on September 27.
