A new trailer of one of the hottest game releases this year has landed. With the Jill Valentine trailer, we get a closer look at the heroine and protagonist of the incoming Resident Evil 3 remake. Watch it here below!
In exactly one week from now, on April 3rd, the world will receive the next big installment of the cult survival-horror franchise with Resident Evil 3. It’s the second full remake of the iconic PlayStation 1 entry and follows the footsteps of last year’s smash hit Resident Evil 2 Remake.
It also marks the return of Jill Valentine, one of the two playable characters from the original Resident Evil. Of course, she’s portrayed here in never before seen fidelity. But the changes go deeper than just a better technical presentation. Capcom decided to recast the real-life inspiration with the Russian model Sasha Zotova.
A series of strange disappearances have been occurring in the American Midwest within a place called Racoon City. A specialist squad of the police force known as S.T.A.R.S. has been investigating the case, and have determined that the pharmaceutical company Umbrella and their biological weapon, the T-Virus, are behind the incidents—though they’ve lost several members in the process. Jill Valentine and the other surviving S.T.A.R.S. members try to make this truth known, but find that the police department itself is under Umbrella’s sway and their reports are rejected out of hand.
So, with the game receiving several layers of a makeover, gamers can look forward to an entirely new way of experiencing Jill’s epic fight against Nemesis. The iconic and terrifying enemy of Resident Evil 3.
But there is more news about Jill Valentine still. Together with the trailer, Capcom also unveiled that players of the included multiplayer portion Resident Evil Resistance will be able to play as Jill Valentine in that mode. A welcome addition for what remains as the undoubted overlooked part of the remake. As an asymmetrical multiplayer game, Resistance aims to deliver an entirely unique mode for gamers to fight not only zombies but each other.
