New ‘Sink or Swim’ tournament begins today in Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.

Another Nintendo-hosted tournament will gather Code Name S.T.E.A.M.'s online community in battles for bragging rights, and it starts today.

Tom, The Fox, Henry and other agents had their own themed tournaments (though not expressly called by their names). Now it's Queequeg's turn, for the new Sink or Swim tournament asks: Who wants to be a "Penguinier"? That's your ultimate prize for taking the top spot in this event, which has Medal Battle as its mode condition. And no, using Penguin Bombs to retrieve medals for you isn't an option.

The previous tournament, Supernatural, saw smaller competition, with the fourth-place player coming in at 2019 points — something easily managed with only two wins. If you tried in vain to secure a prestigious title in a preceding tournament, now would be a good time to re-enter the ranks. You have until August 10 to climb the leaderboard and possibly have your name displayed in the hall of fame.

Don't forget to download the latest patch, which will prepare standard 3DS units to bring Fire Emblem amiibo into battle at a later date.
