Splatoon fans should be excited by Nintendo's latest Splatoon stage announcement, as Camp Triggerfish was one of the earliest stages we got to see. Fans have been asking for it since the first new stage released, and Nintendo has been dragging it out. Well, tomorrow at 7PM PST we'll finally be getting free rein over this high end battlefield.
What sets Camp Triggerfish apart is its floodgates. The stage has an excessive amount of deadly, deadly water (Sea creatures cannot swim through water in Splatoon) that players will have to avoid as they navigate the stage with their limited movement. In Turf War matches, the floodgates will open when the timer hits one minute, greatly increasing movement options. This allows for a sudden change of pace that could completely reverse the tides of battle.
Friendly tip, watch where you use your squid form.
The floodgates will be open from the beginning in ranked battles, due to the fact they can end quickly and mobility is more important than ever when pressed for time. Tower Defense in particular will become more challenging, due to the fact the tower's path is mostly over water: One false step and it's into the drink with you.
