In the latest community update for Star Wars Battlefront, DICE community manager Mathew Everett teased plans to reveal more multiplayer modes, new gameplay footage, and a new hero type "soon." Turns out, he really meant it when he said soon.
Taking to the Star Wars Battlefront Facebook page, EA confirmed the new mode will be revealed tomorrow, adding it "will be a blast." If EA's comment is any indication, it looks like tomorrow's reveal will be Blast mode, which is one of many multiplayer modes mentioned on the official website.
While the new mode will be officially revealed tomorrow, Gamescom attendees will actually be among the first to go hands-on with it.
At E3 last month, EA showed off some lengthy multiplayer gameplay in the form of Walker Assault. They also gave us a look at one of Battlefront's co-op Missions, Survival. However, there's still plenty more still to be shown off, including Supremacy, Fighter Squadron, Drop Zone, and Cargo — and that's not even including the other Missions, like Battles, Hero Battles, and Trials.
On a related note, EA also pointed out that both the Empire and Rebels will have Missions to complete; however, Survival Missions will be playable from the Rebel perspective only.
With Star Wars Battlefront releasing this November on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, expect to see more news about modes and Missions in the coming weeks.
