New Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer to premiere at Star Wars Celebration

Although the new trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens will still be attached to Avengers: Age of Ultron, it's debut will actually happen sooner than originally thought.

Originally thought to premiere alongside Marvel's blockbuster superhero film, it's now being reported that the second trailer for the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakened will now debut as part of this month's Star Wars Celebration. Rumored details for the new trailer were leaked earlier this week.

According to Collider, which first broke the news, fans in attendance of this month's convention will also get a first look at the film's poster.

The big question is, how long will fans unable to attend Star Wars Celebration have to wait before being able to see the new trailer? Will Disney hold off until Avengers: Age of Ultron and risk having the trailer leak online beforehand or will they post the official trailer ahead of time, prior to Age of Ultron's May 1st theatrical debut? It's assumed Disney will want to get the new trailer out as soon as possible as to allow the rest of the world the best possible experience instead of watching someone's grainy footage through a shaky handheld camera.

Star Wars Celebration 2015 is being held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California from April 16th through April 19th, so expect the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens — whether legit or leaked — to appear online sometime between then and May 1st.

Also making its debut at Star Wars Celebration is Electronic Arts' new game Star Wars: Battlefront. Developed by DICE, Star Wars: Battlefront is the newest installment in the iconic multiplayer shooter franchise set in the Star Wars universe. At the event, fans will be able to see the debut trailer during the April 17th panel, as well as gameplay in a behind-closed-doors environment on the show floor.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be coming this holiday season to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Its launch will coincide with release of the new film, Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, which will hit theaters December 18, 2015.
