New Star Wars: The Old Republic Trailer Shows Imperial Agent Character Class

Bioware has just released a new trailer for Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) showing off one of the game's most exciting character classes, the Imperial Agent. The game gives a hint at some of the storyline missions that will lead your character down this dark path, showing a new agent being instructed by hologram to kill her companions, immediately turning and committing the dark deed. Obviously, the dark side of the force is strong with this one.

After becoming an agent, players will choose to descend down one of two distinct skill trees. First is the operative, your typical stealth-class, capable of turning invisible and sneaking up on foes un-announced, letting players perform stealth kills like the savage backstab seen in the trailer. Admittedly more exciting is the sniper class, which comes complete with its own personalized shield, a dispersal attack for approaching enemies, and a little robot helper to scurry about the battlefield and fry enemies. As seen in the trailer, even a lightsaber-wielding jedi is no match for a blaster bolt between the eyes, and we can't help but think that the top-tier Sniper armor class looks… well, damn sexy.
