When the embargo lifted for Nintendo's latest DIY game, Super Mario Maker, the reactions were quite unanimous; It was an absolutely excellent game with a terrific suite of editing tools, but an extremely limiting solution for unlocking new tools. How it originally worked was that you had to spend five minutes building your own level, at which point you'd get a notification stating that the next batch of tools will be available the next day. There were two solutions for this. You could either wait until the next day and only play with the tools available, or cheat the system and change your Wii U's internal clock.
Thankfully, Nintendo took all the criticism to heart, and is actually changing that very aspect. With the newest patch 1.0.1, which NeoGAF user Robin64 spotted, it now changes that prerequisite by making you only wait 15 minutes between tool deliveries.
That means you only have to spend 15 minutes designing your level, until the next batch of tools comes in, allowing you to try new things, no extraneous waiting or internal clock changing required. Awesome!
Super Mario Maker comes out tomorrow, 11th of September for the Wii U.
