Famed Pokémon Lucario, who first appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, has been added to the ever-growing cast of fighters in the new Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS. His addition now brings the game's total roster up to 22 playable characters.
As per usual, game director Masahiro Sakurai revealed the character via Miiverse, writing: "The heroic Aura Pokémon, Lucario, joins the battle!! We've increased the influence of Aura this time, so a damaged Lucario is truly a force to be reckoned with."
"Lucario joined the battle for the first time in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which was released six years ago. The production staff of Brawl worked really hard to expand the character roster–without their efforts, Lucario probably never would have joined the battle," he added.
Let's celebrate his addition with a slew of screenshots showcasing Lucario in action.
