New Tacoma footage reveals further gameplay

Fullbright's Tacoma is Gone Home in space

If you enjoyed Fullbright's Gone Home, you'll definitely have to take a closer look at their new game, Tacoma. Many have called it Gone Home in space, and they're correct. Game Informer recently published some new footage of Tacoma, and it's hard to not think of Gone Home when watching it.

The most exciting thing about this new Tacoma footage is definitely the reveal of more gameplay. You'll search the ship Tacoma for evidence of what happened to the crew that used to work there. Digital remnants of the workers are revealed in the form of colorful 3D models. Each features a name and a photo to allow you to better visualize what they would look like, but mostly you just stare at these colorful humanoid shapes.

One thing that struck me most about this Tacoma footage is how well it would port to a virtual reality system. I've had some experience with the Oculus Rift, and it's easy for me to picture playing Tacoma with one. Since it's coming out for PC and Xbox One (both systems that Oculus Rift works with), I'd be willing to bet many will play Tacoma with the virtual reality headset.

Unfortunately we still have no specific release date for Tacoma, but we do know that it will release some time in 2016. Tacoma will be playable on PC, Mac, Linux, and Xbox One.
