During last night's Game Awards show, Naughty Dog debuted a brand new cinematic clip from Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. It's only a minute in length, but features a smooth-talking Nathan Drake and a "new, decidedly less than friendly character" voiced by Laura Bailey.
It's easy to assume Bailey's character to be one of Uncharted 4's lead villains, but as we've seen in past installments of the franchise, that line between friend and foe can easily blur.
Perhaps more important than the stellar CGI and impressive acting, is the moment when Bailey's character removes her heels right before kicking Nathan Drake's ass. Is it a subtle poke at the criticism Universal Pictures and director Colin Trevorrow faced when actress Bryce Dallas Howard chose to run in heels from a giant T-Rex in Jurassic World?
I'm sure someone who cares a lot more about it than me will spend hours analyzing every moment. For me, I'll just enjoy the ride of Uncharted 4 when it releases on March 16th for PlayStation 4.
For more details on Uncharted 4 be sure to tune in to Naughty Dog's planned panel at PlayStation Experience this weekend.
