New Until Dawn trailer proves Valentine’s Day doesn’t always end in happiness

Is there anything more romantic than spending Valentine's Day at a remote mountain retreat, curled up by the fire with your loved one? Or how about being all cutesy, making out in the snow? It sure sounds nice, in theory. But what if this romantic getaway turns into the trip of your nightmare?

That's pretty much what Supermassive Games' Until Dawn is all about. By now, you may know that Until Dawn sees a group of eight friends, on their annual mountain getaway, get trapped on a remote mountain retreat — and they aren't alone. With them is some deranged killer. At this point, we don't know why this masked murderer wants them dead, but today's trailer gives you an idea of the tension and terror that awaits in Until Dawn.

We last played Until Dawn at PlayStation Experience in December. We only played a small portion of it, but the sequence that we played was freaking intense. I highly suggest you check out our preview, as it gives a pretty decent idea of how your choice will actually matter in the game. Not only do your actions determine who lives or dies, but they will also directly influence the relationships between the characters, influencing how characters react to each other. What's neat about Until Dawn is that the narrative will always continue on, adapting to your decisions.

Until Dawn doesn't yet have a release date, but it is coming to the PlayStation 4.
