The CW's DC special, 'Dawn of the Justice League', was chock full of exciting new info regarding the upcoming slate of DC films from Warner Bros. In addition to new Batman v Superman footage, we got a brand new Suicide Squad trailer. Stealing the spotlight, though, was the first ever footage of Wonder Woman.
We've previously seen images of actress Gal Gadot as the iconic Amazonian warrior, but the new footage shows off her skills in action, while filmmakers provide us with some key background details on the character herself.
"We're going to see her coming of age, the entire history and what's her mission," Gal Gadot says about the upcoming Wonder Woman plot. Wonder Woman has been around for 75 years now. She's an icon and it's so nice to finally see her getting her own live-action film.
The standalone Wonder Woman film isn't slated to hit theaters until June 23, 2017, but actress Gal Gadot will make her widely anticipated debut as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on March 25, 2016. Fans got a better look at her in the most recent trailer, which you can watch above.
Earlier today we also got the official Wonder Woman logo; The new logo is similar in concept to the original, but matches the new mature tone of DC's upcoming slate of films.
