New Xbox Wireless Controller brings more grip and better tech

Microsoft has unveiled the latest addition to their artillery and it's absolutely perfect for everyone with moist palms.

Starting April 25th, the Xbox Wireless Controller – Recon Tech Special Edition will be available as the first item in the new 'Tech Series' of Xbox Wireless Controllers for $69.99.

The front of the new controller is laser etched with gold accents and the back features a "textured diamond rubberized grip for added control and comfort." The controller isn't just featuring upgrades for those with sweaty hands, there are also a few improvements on the inside.

The Recon Tech Special Edition of the Xbox Wireless Controller has improved wireless range and Bluetooth technology for gaming on Windows 10 devices or Samsung Gear VR. It is compatible with the Xbox Accessories App's custom button mapping, as well as the new Copilot feature on the Xbox One.

The Copilot feature lets two controllers act as one, which means that you can play a game with your friend acting as training wheels. One player controls the game and the other helps them out with the controls on a different remote. It's a great feature – unless the other person with the remote is a troll.
