New Yakuza: Like a Dragon trailer prepares you for a wild ride

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has shared the newest trailer for their upcoming Western release of Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Check out the insane mayhem of the over-the-top tactical-RPG below!

Even if you are a veteran of the Yakuza series, it sure looks like Yakuza: Like a Dragon is pumping up the craziness into the stratosphere. The jump to turn-based action gameplay proves to have opened up the doors open-wide when it comes to wacky attacks.

And there’s a ton of that kind in the game. Fight chicken that throw eggs at you, summon crayfish, and don all types of costumes doing so. And that’s just a small slice of the entire spectrum.

Experience dynamic RPG combat like none other. Switch between 19 unique Jobs ranging from Bodyguard to Musician, using the battlefield as your weapon. Take up bats, umbrellas, bikes, signs, and everything else at your disposal to clean up the streets!

Likewise, another major part of the Yakuza series is featured here in all its glory. Mini-games! From arcade cabinet where you can literally play other games inside the game to baseball, darts, karaoke bars, and much more players will have an insane amount of distraction at their hands. Or maybe their next obsession.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is shaping up to become one of the best entries in the series even if it is a spin-off that changes a lot of the series’ formula. New protagonist, new characters, and a whole new gameplay design.

Even outside the game itself, Like a Dragon marks an important turning point for the franchise by offering preferred treatment for the Xbox. In a shock, Like a Dragon will stay next-gen exclusive on the Xbox Series X for 6 months before appearing on the PlayStation 5 next March. At least, the game will launch simultaneously on current-gen systems, PC, and Xbox Series on November 10th.
