New Yoshi’s Island and Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move discussed during Nintendo Direct

The first Yoshi's Island was released on SNES in 1995. Now, fans will be happy to know the third installment is coming to the Nintendo 3DS. The new Yoshi's Island maintains the fun gameplay mechanics found in previous Yoshi's Island games, like the ground pound. It uses the 3DS' unique features to make the game new and fresh. More new details on game will come in the future, as well as a launch date.

Another game mentioned was Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move. The Minis make their way through puzzle levels. You use tiles to create a path for your characters to get to their goal. In some instances, you control two characters at once, and sometimes across huge stages. In addition to over 180 stages in the game, you can upload original stages you've created or download stages created by players all around the world. Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move will be available May 9th, exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
