New Zelda toys span three generations of awesome

Once upon a time when a boy came up age, he put aside his playthings and became a man, toiling long and hard in the fields to provide for his family, before dying at the ripe old age of 25.. These days, our boys grow into irresponsible manchildren, happily fretting away each paycheck on video games and toys. Which is why we at GameZone.com are frothing with excitement at this upcoming set of figurines from The Legend of Zelda series.

Japan definitely has American beaten as far as toys go, with Gatchapon standing out as their finest achievement. These capsule toys are leagues ahead of the crappy plastic junk you see in the toy-vendors outside supermarkets, gorgeously modeled figurines worthy of display. Here we see three generations of Link and Zelda, hailing from the N64's Ocarina of Time, the Gamecube's Wind Waker (though the DS sequel is spotlighted), and of course the blockbuster Wii release: Skyward Sword.

We'll definitely be looking to import some of these, but as with any capsule toys, you never know which one you'll get. Do we buy just one, hoping to snag that sweet Skyward Sword Link? Or do we pre-order the full set of 6, ensuring that we're not stuck with only that weird Tetra/Zelda from Wind Waker.

Also, why so many child Links? We like Wind Waker and all, but adult Link is definitely our pick for the coolest dude around. We'll be keeping our eyes out for a wave two!
