Rumors are circulating, emotions are being toyed with and it's all been sparked by recent reports that a potentially ground-breaking development for the next Call of Duty title is on the cards.
TheTechGame recently reported that a "credible" Activision source claims the next Call of Duty title will come with a pre-order bonus of backwards compatible versions for both Modern Warfare 1 and Modern Warfare 2.
In recent months it has been suggested that the developer had no plans to create and release re-mastered editions of these two games, hence Call of Duty: Black Ops One apparently coming to Xbox One "soon."
Now, although these alleged developments have not been confirmed by Activision publicly, it does sound pretty similar to the deal Microsoft offered with Fallout 4 on Xbox One where gamers that purchased the title also received Fallout 3 via Backwards Compatibility.
The next Call of Duty is set to be developed by Infinity Ward too, a group that worked on both previous Modern Warfare titles, yet another factor that gives these rumors some sense at least.
However, for now we would recommend that you take these rumors with a pinch of salt, although it does sound like a prospect that could prove to be popular – very popular indeed.
