Next Driveclub update coming next Tuesday; PS Plus Edition still on hold

Includes first round of player-requested features

Evolution Studios has announced that the next title update for Driveclub will be released on Tuesday, November 18. It will include the first round of player-requested feature updates, including the eagerly awaited Photo Mode.

Photo Mode, which has been one of the more-requested features, will allow you to capture those thrilling moments on the course and share them with your friends (with filters and all those artsy-fartsy things that make photos look nice).

In addition to Photo Mode, though, the update will also add the following changes:

  • Improved multiplayer collision physics to reduce frustrating spin-outs
  • Adjustments to soften the corner cutting penalty system
  • Options in the club menu to view everything your club has unlocked
  • A fix to allow all club owners to update their club badges

The update also includes the first batch of free tracks designed to "support and expand the game as you play." The following three maps will be available for both offline and online play (and playable in reverse):

  • India – Yedepalli
  • Scotland – Wester Ross
  • Chile – Los Pelambres

Unfortunately, Evolution Studios has no update regarding the timing for the PS Plus Edition. Originally due out alongside the regular, premium version of the game, the PS Plus Edition was delayed due to server issues. As a result of the ongoing problems, the PS Plus Edition has been put on hold indefinitely while Evolution Studios and Sony work to improve the server capacity.

To apologize for all of the server issues, Sony and Evolution Studios are giving away November's premium DLC for free to players who have purchased the full game.

"Once again, thank you for your support. We are truly sorry that the road to delivering the full DRIVECLUB racing experience on PS4 has been such a rocky one," Evolution Studios concluded.
