Next Mass Effect will ‘borrow a lot of game systems’ from Dragon Age 3

The next Mass Effect game — which BioWare refuses to call Mass Effect 4 — will borrow "a lot" of gameplay systems from Dragon Age 3, according to BioWare Montréal studio director Yanick Roy.

Roy today tweeted a picture (above) of the first pass at the design document of the next Mass Effect. In the tweet, he noted: "We have a large and talented team, we started a while ago, and we are 'borrowing' a lot of game systems from DA3."

Unfortunately, not much is known about Dragon Age 3 at this point. While the game was officially announced back in September 2012, but BioWare has been tight-lipped about their game, which was again teased at EA's E3 press conference. Either way, it seems if you want an early idea as to how the next Mass Effect game will play, just take a look at Dragon Age 3: Inquisition — which is set for release in fall 2014 for Xbox One and PS4.
