Next Overwatch Hero is “Very far along in development”

We just recently got Orisa in the latest Overwatch update, but Blizzard isn't slowing down on their updates for the successful team-based shooter. After many fans were sure we were getting Doomfist with all the teasers along the way, we were given Orisa. Game director Jeff Kaplan makes it known that she wasn't the last of these roster additions.

Kaplan won't give much more in the way of details other than saying the next character is "very far along in development," He told IBTimes.

“The next hero is very far along in development, so we’re at the point where we’re doing art for that hero, we’re doing a lot of aggressive play-testing. We know what that hero, what the abilities are and how they interact, so we’re at that point.”

Blizzard is planning an official event next week that could possibly reveal this new character, though details of the event are unknown at this time.
