Next year will be a ‘big year’ for Final Fantasy with ‘new’ games, says brand manager

This year is the 30th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series and last year saw a ton of rumors around what games Square Enix would be releasing to celebrate the anniversary. A bunch of those rumors turned out to be false, but the Brand Manager for Final Fantasy is teasing some new games for next year and we can't help but think of those rumors.

In an interview with Edamame Arcade Channel, Final Fantasy's Brand Manager, Shinji Hashimoto, revealed that the 31st year of Final Fantasy would be a big one. According to Hashimoto, the teams are "busy working on new titles" and are "all gearing up for a big year next year."

This 'big year' will be defined by new Final Fantasy games.

"I want to thank the fans for 30 years of support. Next year will be a big one, and we will bring exciting, new Final Fantasy games to the world. "
