NHL Now Streaming on the PS3

Thanks to the success of MLB TV on the PlayStation 3, the PS3 will now be getting an NHL GameCenter application which will let subscribers watch games from their consoles and comfy couches, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog.

Although the GameCenter application lets viewers watch regular season games, there’s a catch. A very pricey catch. In order to use the streaming service, subscribers will need to pony up $169.00 a year, which will allow access to watch any game through the away team’s broadcast feed.

A cheaper alternative, NHL Vault package, will let people watch condensed versions of the games 48 hours after they air for $4.95 a month.
