Rumors around Space Jam getting a sequel with LeBron James have been flying around unchecked since Warner Bros. filed new trademarks for Space Jam and announced a partnership with NBA superstar LeBron James' SpringHill Entertainment for projects spanning film, television, and original digital content.
What did James have to say about all the speculation? He didn't confirm nor did he deny. He simply paired 'wait and see' along with '#LooneyToonsRock' on Twitter.
Now, in some kind of cruel twist, Nike has taken the film we hold close to our hearts and worked it into an advertisement for their "Jordan Super.Fly 4." Marvin the Martian squares off against LA Clippers' Blake Griffin in the advertisement called “The Dunk to End All Dunks,” with a surprise visit from Bug Bunny.
What does this mean? Who knows, but Nike does know that their demographic still likes the film thanks to all the ruckus around it.
Just give in and watch it.
