It's been two years since Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice was first announced, and it has had a largely quiet development since that time. After not making its 2016 release window and getting a slight name change, Hellblade re-appeared as Game Informer's cover story for its May 2017 issues, revealing a much different game than previously thought. In a good way, that is.
Now developer Ninja Theory is teasing some sort of announcement related to the game on its Twitter, using a GIF alongside the protagonist and three words that read "Announcement Coming Tomorrow."
Here's the tweet:
Given the amount of time that the game has been in development, coupled with being ready to be a major cover story for Game Informer, the natural inclination is to lean towards a release date as the impending announcement. There's a decent chance that the game will end up having some presence during Sony's E3 2017 presser since it is a PS4 console exclusive, so there could be something in the announcement about that as well.
As of right now, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is set to release sometime this year for PS4 and PC. Perhaps we will know more about when tomorrow.
