Nintendo has updated its 3DS messaging app Swapnote with several new improvements.
3DS owners can now take, record, and attach images and audio when composing messages. They can also pick different pen colors for each page, undo their last stroke, filter notes by users and favorites, delete multiple notes at once, and choose to receive special notes — like the ones Nintendo sends — "on a category-by-category basis."
Swapnote also loads faster now. Users can download the latest version of the messaging app from the eShop.
The application is free. It launched on December 22, 2011 — less than a year after the launch of the 3DS.
