Nintendo announces E3 2015 plans with the cheesiest/best video ever

Nintendo's E3 livestream slotted for same time as Square Enix press conference

As promised, Nintendo announced today its plans for E3 2015. And they did so in only a way Nintendo could — with a cheesy, ridiculous, yet somehow awesome video starring Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aimé

Nintendo will once again be hosting a Digital Event instead of the traditional staged press conference. During this livestream, you'll hear the latest news on upcoming games and "much more" directly from Nintendo. It'll be held during the week of E3 on Tuesday, June 16, at 9:00am PT.

That also just so happens to be the same day and time Square Enix will host its own E3 press conference (but actually on stage). If your ears are super trained, maybe you can stream them both. If not, we'll have coverage of all the E3 press conferences so feel free to check out GameZone.

Perhaps bigger news than Nintendo's Digital Event is the return of the Nintendo World Championships.

"For the first time in 25 years, some of Nintendo's biggest fans will get to go head-to-head in a gaming showdown for the ages," Nintendo announced. The Nintendo World Championships will take place Sunday, June 14. More information regarding the qualifying competitions, which will be held on May 30, will be announced soon.

From June 16 through 18, you can join Nintendo Treehouse live at E3. During the event, you'll be able to tune in as Nintendo's game experts provide "in-depth game coverage, behind-the-scenes info, and plenty of fun" live and unscripted from the E3 show floor.

And in typical Nintendo fashion, you'll be able to play their games before its release. On June 17 and June 20, special demos for Mario Maker for Wii U will be playable at Best Buy locations across North America. The full schedule and list of locations will be announced at a later date.

So these are Nintendo's big E3 plans. Perhaps more exciting than their plans for E3 is how they actually announced it. Check out the video below, starring the adorably cheesey Reggie.
