Nintendo Badge Arcade finally gets Paper Mario badges

Having Paper Mario characters star in Nintendo Badge Arcade's scrapbook-like framework always seemed like an obvious pairing, yet it's only now that we're finally seeing collectible offerings from the series. Sort of.

Today, the free-to-play 3DS app adds several Badge Catchers that feature characters and items from Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. Not the same as getting Paper Mario: Sticker Star badges (Thing Stickers!), but it's a fair trade since we still get Paper Mario in different poses.

Also included in the fresh batch are badges of Bowser Jr., Papercraft Mario, Toadette, King Boo and Petey Piranha (who also gets a skin in the new Super Mario Mash-Up Pack for Minecraft: Wii U Edition).

It's been some time since the app had badges that would tempt you to spend money — that recent phase of food badges from Tomodachi Life was excessive — so these new offerings should keep you motivated for the next few days.
