Nintendo continues Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. tournament series with Global Cup 2

Last week, Nintendo began hosting another official tournament for Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.'s online community. And starting today, a direct follow-up to the last is now available for strategists to climb the ranks.

Global Cup 2 is the ninth in a series of Public Tournaments hosted by Nintendo, but between current conditions and those of last week, Nintendo has been adopting a multi-stage format with recent setups. The rules for Global Cup 2 differ from the first in that your goal is to collect the most medals in five turns (without getting downed). This is now the third tournament of the nine to feature Medal Battle, and if you've never tried the mode, you'll need to take a different strategy than you may be accustomed to in Death Match. Perhaps these alternating mode conditions will mean A.B.E. Battles for the next tournament?

You can sign up now for the Global Cup 2 tournament, which runs until July 1. In the last round, 3DS user 'neo' took the Gold Medal. Will they strike again?
