Earlier today, a trademark for a game called Monster Hunter "Generations" was leaked online. It was thought that Generations was the western version of Monster Hunter X and it turns out that was accurate. In today's Direct, Nintendo has confirmed that the next Western entry in the much beloved Monster Hunter franchise is indeed Monster Hunter: Generations.
The last Monster Hunter game to reach the States was Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate which released early last year, and was one of our favorite game of 2015. Speaking of which, if you still have your saved data from Ultimate, you will receive some bonus content.
Generations will also feature a special collaboration armor set based on the character Marth from Fire Emblem. Monster Hunter: Generations is set to release sometime in Summer 2016.
