Nintendo doubles Miiverse character limit on Wii U and web

For you Chatty Cathy's out there, you'll now have more characters to work with when using the Nintendo Miiverse on your Wii U or on the web. Miiverse today received an update that increases the character limit for posts and enhances the filtering system.

The character limit for posts and comments has been increased — due to "popular demand — from 100 characters to 200 characters. Additionally, when filtering for popular posts, you'll now see older posts as well. Previously, you could only see posts created recently, within a certain time frame.

I have troubles fitting my thoughts into a simple 140 character Twitter post; I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for Wii U owners with only 100 characters to work with.
