Nintendo files trademark for N64 controller

A slew of new trademarks from Nintendo have surfaced in Europe via the European Union Intellectual Property Office and one of them is for the N64 controller! Look at how Nintendo has brought us the NES Classic and will be bringing us the SNES Classic soon, an N64 Classic would simply be the natural progression.

Before Nintendo officially revealed the SNES Classic, a trademark for the Super Nintendo Entertainment Systems Super Famicon controller teased the upcoming reveal. The trademark for the Super Famicon controller surfaced around six months prior to the announcement, which means if Nintendo decides to go through with the N64 Classic, we will probably have to wait a few months before the bad boy gets released.

These are the trademarks that Nintendo filed:

The trademarks are all registered under the categories, which doesn't suggest too much. Now there is a chance that the trademark is for a new controller to work with a virtual console on the N64, but that's just dreams.

If the N64 Classic is revealed, what games do you want on it?
