Nintendo hosts new Peter Pan-inspired tournament for Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.

How did you fare in Nintendo's last Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. tournament? Did you sink to the bottom or swim to the top of the leaderboards? If the latter… "You have made Queequeg angry." Maybe you didn't sink to the bottom bottom, but if you placed 4th or several places below that, you can now add 'Barnacle' to your online name as a consolation prize. That's no title for a special agent — maybe for a certain undersea starfish, but not one trained in the ways of steam management. To be fair, neither is the reward for placing 1st in the newest competition, which began today.

Nintendo's 'Second Star' tournament will have players engaging in Medal Battles yet again, and the one who racks the most points on the leaderboard will be crowned 'Pirate'. Unless you'd rather be called 'Fairy' or 'Lost Boy', in which case you should set your sights below that. Combining this batch of leaderboard ranks with the tournament description ("On Till Morning") and title, it's evident that someone at Nintendo is a fan of Peter Pan.

Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.'s online community will wage this fight until August 18, meaning that players only have four days to make it into the Top 4 and have their names permanently displayed on the tournament leaderboard (the previous tournament ran for more than double that amount).

Sidestepping reality for a moment, could you imagine a sequel featuring Peter Pan in a steampunk-themed getup? That would be something to see.
