Nintendo has reassured fans that Zelda has been delayed for good reason, claiming that improvements are being made to the title every day.
The Japanese gaming company left fans stunned back in 2014 at the E3 trade fair as they announced that a brand new Zelda game would be hitting shelves in 2015, and then the game was delayed.
As you can imagine this is not the most ideal situation for Nintendo, failing to deliver a game for one of the company's most popular franchises. Nintendo has arguably failed to compete with the likes of PlayStation and Xbox since the days of the original Wii, and delays of this kind don't really emulate positive signs for the company.
Commenting on the game's current progress, producer Eiji Aonuma said: "This year we wanted a Majora's Mask concert, so it is not impossible that there may be a 30th anniversary concert next year.
"However, as we are trying to complete the new Zelda as fast as possible, that is all that is on our minds. That being said, we hope something will take form for the 30th anniversary. It is especially important to a producer of the series, so I hope to give something everyone can look forward to next year."
The Zelda game in question is still yet to be given a specific title as of yet, but it would seem that work is still underway as Nintendo hopes to deliver the game's 2016 release.
"We're doing our best. Every day we improve it bit by bit. It is something that requires plenty of time, however, so please believe in us and wait." Aonuma added.
