It looks like we can still expect some news on the upcoming Nintendo console, codenamed NX, sometime this year. A Nintendo of Europe representative has confirmed that Nintendo is still planning on revealing more information on the NX at some point this year.
An eagle-eyed Redditor by the name GamoTron21 noticed a post on the Nintendo Developer forums from a Nintendo of Europe representative named Ulysse Richert-Botté who reiterated that Nintendo will "publicly share more information about NX within this year." The post was issued this year, so there's still hope that the plans haven't changed.
The rest of the representative's post was aimed at developers looking to get their game on the NX.
This post surfaced after a new rumor detailed that the NX would feature at least 4 launch titles, with one being related to Mario, and that the base console will cost $299.99. Additionally, a bundle option was priced at $399.99.
Back in 2015, the rumored price for the NX was $149.99, a great deal lower than the new rumor. As for the games rumored to appear on the console at launch, it was suggested that Super Smash Bros would be one of the launch games.
There have been a bunch of patents, rumors and comments from other industry professionals, focused on the NX over the months, but not much from Nintendo. Hopefully, Nintendo will reveal the console soon
