Nintendo reveals how we’ll get the new Dusk Form Lycanroc in Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon

Just a few short days ago, Pokemon trainers all over the world were introduced to Dusk Form Lycanroc, a third form of the new increasingly popular Rock-Type Pokemon. Now, after making its debut in the anime as Ash's latest Pokemon (his Rockruff evolved), Nintendo has revealed just how we will be able to get this Pokemon, and no it's not a simple matter of just catching it.

Players who grab either Pokemon Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon within the first two months of the game being available will be given the Pokemon as a free gift via Nintendo Network. The Pokemon will come as a Rockruff that you can raise to evolve into Dusk Form Lycanroc, and as you will come to see, its battle style will encompass aspects of both the Midday and Midnight forms.

Dusk Form Lycanroc can learn both Accelerock and Counter, moves that were essential parts of the Midday and Midnight forms' attack style (respectively). The Pokemon will also come with the Tough Claws ability, which grants an attack boost to physical moves that make direct contact.

Dusk Form Lycanroc will be available to download when Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon launch on November 17th, 2017 through January 10th, 2018.
