Nintendo reveals Star Fox Zero for Wii U

Nintendo started off their E3 Nintendo Direct with a bang, officially revealing Star Fox Zero for Wii U, a game that has been teased since E3 2014. The game will have free flight, cinematic elements and will utilize the Wii U's Gamepad to do a number of actions.

The Wii U's Gamepad had been teased to bring a special feature to the next iteration of Star Fox and it turns it is bringing a unique function.

Star Fox Zero will also make use of the Wii U's two-screen functionality. The TV will have a more cinematic focus with third-person view, while the Gamepad's screen will give players a first-person cockpit view. The gyro in the gamepad will allow you to look around and shoot enemies via cockpit view by moving the Gamepad around.

Two sticks on the Gamepad will allow you to speed up and fly around, one button will fire all the weapons and the remaining buttons will allow the Arwing to transform, do flips, and do a U-turn.

The Arwing can transform into either be the Landmaster and the Gyro Wing. Different stages can be played and replayed in different transformations.

StarFox Zero is not a sequel or a prequel, that's why it was named Zero.

StarFox Zero will be available this Holiday 2015, as previously reported.
