Nintendo Switch fighter ARMS is getting a timed demo

For early adopters of the Nintendo Switch, ARMS is the first new major IP on the horizon for the console/portable hybrid. Earlier today, Nintendo hosted their previously announced Direct stream, which was devoted exclusively to ARMS. The biggest announcement to come out of it is that players will be able to get their hands on the game, via a timed demo called The Global Testpunch Demo.

Here's the replay of the Nintendo Direct:

The Global Testpunch Demo will take place during two groups of days, May 26th-28th and again on June 2nd-4th. Things get a tad more complicated than that, unfortunately, as each day will only have the demo live for certain "blocks of time."

ARMS is not going to be a one-and-done deal for Nintendo, as the company intends to turn the game into a franchise over time.

ARMS releases exclusively on Nintendo Switch on June 16th, 2017.
