Nintendo Switch’s Fire Emblem Warriors Shows Off New Screenshots

Koei Tecmo has officially launched its Japanese website for Fire Emblem Warriors, the new Fire Emblem title in the Warriors genre.

The Nintendo Switch/3DS exclusive will share similarities with Hyrule Warriors as it's another joint venture between Nintendo and Koei Tecmo. The game will feature many Fire Emblem characters across many titles battling in large-scale hack-and-slash action that the creators of Dynasty Warriors are known for.

With the launch of this new website, a few images have emerged, giving the first glimpse at the game's new characters: Twin protagonists Shion and Lian. There are also images of well-known characters such as Marth and Chrom, courtesy of Famitsu

The game, despite being a Warriors title, will retain many traditional Fire Emblem mechanics, such as the weapon triangle and support conversations. This means sword users will be best against axes, axes will be best against spears, and so on.

Both the 3DS and Nintendo Switch versions of the game are set to arrive in the Fall, though an exact date has yet to be announced. With E3 2017 coming soon, the launch date is more than likely going to make an appearance.
