IT'S HAPPENING!

After an incredible yet slightly vague reveal in October, we finally have more details about the Nintendo Switch! At the Nintendo Switch event tonight, Nintendo finally revealed the price, official release date, and much more for the highly anticipated console/portable hybrid.

The console will release Friday, March 3rd starting at $299.99. Pre-orders have begun opening up across various online retailers, with some retail stores opening at 9AM ET to begin taking pre-orders. The console will be in limited stock, so if you want one have your credit card ready! You will have the option of two bundles, a neon colored bundle which includes two joy con controllers that are red and blue and the other is a standard black/grey bundle. Both bundles are $299.99.

Nintendo has stated that the console will have 32GBs of internal storage, with 2.5 – 6.5 hours of battery life when using the Switch tablet. Nintendo also confirmed you can get roughly 3 hours out of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on one full charge. Consumers will be able to purchase car chargers for when their Switch tablet is dying while they're on the go.

The launch lineup is a mystery at this time except for the inclusion of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but games like Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart Deluxe, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Splatoon 2, and more are on the way.
