Judging by the sheer number of companies holding press conferences at E3 this year, I doubt Nintendo will return to the big stage this year. After all, Square Enix did take the company's original slot with a conference of its own.
Of course, that won't stop Nintendo from making its own big announcements during the annual trade show event.
Teasing its plans for E3, a photo of Nintendo of America's COO and President Reggie Fils-Aimé dressed from head to toe in Little Mac's iconic all-pink training attire was posted to Twitter. Clearly, Reggie's body is ready.
Not hosting a staged press conference is nothing new for the company. While Nintendo has always had presence on the show floor of E3, they've recently shied away from the spotlight of the big stage. Since 2013, Nintendo has skipped the glits and the glamour of a traditional press conference and has instead made its announcements via a special Nintendo Direct broadcast. It's likely they'll do the same this year, but who knows — 2015's E3 is already filled with tons of surprises.
